We were thrilled to feature in EDP 24 farming pages today about Carr Farm becoming the first Pasture for Life certified farm in Norfolk. Cows and us all look a bit bedraggled….they couldn’t have picked a worse day for photos…but the belties enjoyed the extra attention!!

We are pleased to announce we have been accepted to join the PFLA Pasture for Life Association – all our Belted Galloway Beef will now carry the Pasture for Life certification mark and a tracking ID code which means it can be fully traced from farm to plate. What does this mean? It guarantees that the meat comes from animals that have only eaten grass and pasture throughout their lives.
As a result the meat is healthier with lower saturated fat content and higher omega 3 fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. The pasture for life ethos which all their farmers work to is better for both the environment and the animals. Want to learn more – check out www.pastureforlife.org

We will have our 100% Pasture for Life Certified Belted Galloway Beef and especially for the festival our beech Smoked Goose – with lots of samples to try- we look forward to seeing you !
We took our show team of belted galloways to the Aylsham Show our young 2016 dun heifer Waveney Coshie came second in her class and her half brother the young dun bull Waveney Harnser won the 2016 Traditional Beef Breed Class, Best in Show Traditional Breed and the Benbow Cup, the pair of them also won their pairs class, a successful end to the 2017 Show season!
You can now purchase our beltie beef at Hillfield Farm Shop in Thorpe-next-Haddiscoe and North Green Farm Shop at Shadingfield.
